JPG to PDF Converter
What Is It?
The JPG to PDF Converter is a powerful productivity tool that lets you transform your standard images into professional PDF documents. Whether you’re scan-documenting receipts for taxes, building a digital portfolio, or preparing a presentation, our converter handles the layout and packaging for you instantly.
One of the few tools on the web that supports batch processing entirely in the browser, your sensitive photos stay on your machine while they are stitched into a high-quality PDF.
How to Use
- Upload Images: Select one or more JPEG files from your device.
- Order Check: View the thumbnails to ensure all your pages are selected.
- Generate: Click Generate PDF. Our engine will handle the page scaling and centering.
- Download: Once the progress bar finishes, hit Download PDF to save your consolidated document.
Benefits
- Multi-Image Support: Combine dozens of separate JPGs into a single, cohesive PDF file.
- Auto-Scaling: The tool automatically fits each image to a standard A4/Letter size PDF page, ensuring a consistent look.
- Privacy focus: Unlike “cloud” converters, your personal photos are never uploaded to a server. The PDF is built in your browser’s memory.
- Zero Latency: No waiting for server queues or upload speeds. It works as fast as your local processor.
Common Use Cases
- Expense Reporting: Combining photos of multiple receipts into a single PDF for reimbursement.
- Document Scanning: Turning smartphone photos of physical forms into “scanned” PDF documents.
- Portfolio Sharing: Packaging artwork or design drafts into a single file to send to clients or employers.
- Storyboarding: Organizing a sequence of sketches or screenshots into a readable document format.
Technical Details: Browser-Native PDF Generation
By utilizing the jsPDF library, we generate the PDF structure directly in JavaScript. We calculate the optimal scaling ratio for each image to ensure it fits within the page margins while maintaining its original aspect ratio. The resulting binary data is then converted into a local Blob, allowing you to “download” a file that was actually created on your own computer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the order of images?
Currently, images appear in the order they are selected. If you need a specific order, we recommend uploading them one by one or in small sorted groups.
Is there a limit on the number of pages?
There is no hard limit, but adding a very large number of high-res images (e.g., 50+ photos) may exceed your browser’s available memory. For large documents, try to use compressed JPGs.
Why should I use PDF instead of just sharing JPGs?
PDFs are “fixed-layout” documents. They ensure that whoever opens the file sees exactly what you intended, regardless of their device or operating system. They are also standard for archival and professional submissions.
Does it support PNG images?
This specific tool is optimized for JPG. For other formats, we recommend using our Image Converter first or checking our broader Image to PDF tool.
