About Echo Run
Echo Run is a neon runner with a twist: every gate you run through creates echoes — ghost copies of you that replay your exact path a moment behind you. Pick the right gates to grow your army, weave past saws and spinning bars, and time your way through blinking lasers so your echoes survive too. At the end of every level a wall blocks the track, and each runner that reaches it hits it once. Break it to clear the level.
How to play Echo Run
- New players start with a short training run that shows every move. You can replay it any time from "How to play".
- Steer by dragging left and right anywhere on a touch screen, moving the mouse, or pressing ← → / A D.
- Run through blue gates (+ and ×) to gain echoes. Red gates (− and ÷) take echoes away, so pick your side.
- Echoes follow your exact path behind you. Anything you dodge, they dodge too — unless it moves.
- Lasers blink on and off and saws can swing. You may pass safely while the echoes behind you get caught, so time it.
- If you hit an obstacle, one echo takes the blow for you. Hit one with no echoes left and the run ends.
- At the wall, every runner hits it once. Break it to clear the level; runners left over earn bonus crystals and stars.

Tips and strategy
- A ×2 gate is usually better than a + gate once you have more than a handful of echoes.
- Cross a laser right after it switches off — that gives your echoes the most time behind you.
- Your echoes copy your path, so swerving hard near a moving saw can drag your whole line through it.
- Barriers cost you one echo but vanish after you hit them, so your echoes pass through the gap you made.
- Upgrade Echo Power when walls start to hold — every runner then hits harder.
- Phase Shield blocks your first hit each level, which is great on levels with many saws.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Echo Run free to play?
Yes. Echo Run is completely free and runs in your web browser with no download, account or app install.
Can I play Echo Run on my phone?
Yes. It is designed for phones first — drag your thumb left and right anywhere on the screen to steer. It also works with a mouse or keyboard on a computer.
What are echoes?
Echoes are ghost copies of your runner. Each one replays the exact path you ran, a moment behind you. They take hits for you and smash the wall at the end of the level.
How do I beat the wall?
Every runner that reaches the wall hits it once. Collect more echoes by choosing the better gates, keep them away from moving hazards, and upgrade Echo Power so each runner hits harder.
How many levels are there?
Levels keep going. Each new level is longer and adds more lasers, saws and spinning bars.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your level, stars, crystals, upgrades and runner colours are saved automatically in your browser on this device.
